The beautiful Zellige of Morocco appeared around the 10th Century. The Roman and Byzantine Mosaics mostly inspires it. But the colour palette was limited with white and shades of brown. By the 14th Century, the art flourished. Blue, red, green and yellow colours were in use. 20th Century introduced us a vibrant colour scale. They started to be used as glazes, and now in 2020, Bonna used this impressive Zellige technic in tableware in harmony with the solid colours of LUCA.
Mesopotamia collection includes Bonna’s Edge Chip Resistant technology on most plates and bowls in the range. Bonna items which are identified with edge chip resistance are covered by Bonna “Lifetime Edge Chip Warranty”, and are designed for use for years.
Premium ingredients are mixed to form Bonna’s graze resistant glaze, this has proven to perform well against industrial dishwashers and abrasion caused by cutlery.
